| Here is a list of recent changes in the WEB site. I will not list all new pictures here but with a visit to the PICTURES link you will see the word NEW!! along side recently posted pictures. Family history findings will still be reported under PROGRESS REPORTS link. This page (below) will also summarize changes in structure to the site. February 13, 2006: - recently added genealogy, provided by Jens Bjørseth, for Anders Hansen & Siborg Juulsdatter; Birthe Hansdatter Osvolden & Ola Olsen Lisbakken; Oline Hansdatter Osvolden & Engebret Larsen Nordlien; a new GENEALOGY page for access to all genealogies: have moved some Madsen documents from the old Index Page to a separate page; have revised the Page Index; added links to my wife's family, the Lisko-Zieske family page from the HOME page, page index and Genealogies pages; and other WEB site clean-up to included a new look on the HOME page.. January 23, 2006: - added Descendants Charts for Ole Hansen & Ragnhild Juulsdatter; daughter, Marthe Olsdatter Bjørkebakken & David Evensen Stabohagen and for their descendants. These are also at the Page Index. Material for Marthe Olsdatter Bjørkebakken & David Evensen Stabohagen is provided compliments of Jens Bjørseth of Norway. Jens is a descendant of Ole Hansen as am I. - added more descendant charts for direct access at the Page Index. - am in process of building a page by page linked index. When complete, the link to this will be added to the Page Index. November 5, 2005: - added 2005 picture of the Strum Beef River Flyer train. Compliments of Dave Peterson, grandchild of George & Hannah Peterson. - added WEAU-TV external link. This television station serves the area. - added new marriage information for Toale Hansen Frodal in the Frodahl section. - added a link to the book, "A History of Strum and the Town of Unity" by Roy Matson to top of HOME page. December 31, 2004: - added more names to the 1956-57 West Beef River Sunday School Class picture. December 18, 2004: - added page for Eleva-Strum Central High School Class of 1960 45 Year Class reunion plans. - posted picture of Class of 1960 at Freshman year on 45th Class reunion page. December 3, 2004: - added the booklet for the 75th Anniversary of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Strum. This 31 page item is full of pictures. The booklet used was provided by Hazel (Berg) Anderson of Strum and the pages were scanned by Ron Rosenberg of California, both of the same family. The booklet and content is, of course, the property of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and is provided for enjoyment only. November 16, 2004: - added another Norseville School picture provided by Ron Rosenberg, this one for Class of 1910/1911. - additions have been sparse in recent months due to system problems. All ok now. Look for more changes. April 13, 2004: - added a picture of St. Paul's Lutheran Church 60th Anniversary Congregation Photo. The photo is devided into four separate pages. Part 1 of the Photo. Or, click on PICTURES above and then Strum, Wisconsin and Area Pictures. Very slow loading depending upon Internet speed. April 9, 2004: - in the process of giving meaningful titles to each page. March 24, 2004: - the site SEARCH feature is back in business and no longer incapacitated. You can find this option on the HOME page. This is a Yahoo! search feature. For whatever reason, the search was temporarily going outside my WEBsite and picking up other WEBsites. My WEBsite search should only bring results from this WEBsite. Yahoo! has corrected that. Thank you Yahoo! March 17, 2004: - temporarily disabled the SITE SEARCH feature on this WEB site. For whatever reason, a search for names that I know are on this site bring up results and links to WEBsites that have no relation to my site and to add insult to injury, the search brings up no results for things on this WEB site. I will try to resolve this with my provider. If I can't resolve it I will eliminate the feature rather than confuse you with nonsense. February 28, 2004: - removed three pictures from the HOME page: Atalanta ship; Strum aerial view; Hurdal King's Trail Wayhouse. But you can still access these pictures from the PICTURES index. Now the HOME page should load more quickly. February 27, 2004: - a series of four pictures provided by Greg Gullicksrud, formerly of Strum, Wisconsin and now Pastor of a Lutheran Church in Poplar, Wisconsin, were added. Pictures include: Hurdal Valley, the Gullicksrud (Gulliksrud) Homestead in Norway, Hurdal Church Alter, and Hurdal Church & Cemetery exterior. Click on the Pictures link above to view these pictures taken by Greg in February 2001. Many Strum area families are from Hurdal, Norway. December 24, 2003: - reinstalled Site SEARCH feature on HOME page and INDEX page. Feature was not working properly. You should now be able to search for any word....family name, farm name, town or community that might be on this WEB site. - added Eau Claire Leader Telegram Online link to External Links page. December 16-17, 2003: These changes were made so that the HOME page and some others will open quicker for the viewer and so that a single page doesn't include an overwhelming amount of information: - moved external links to own page. Still linked from HOME page and PAGE INDEX.. - set up "Recent Changes/Additions to this WEB Site". Linked from HOME Page and PAGE INDEX.. - set up separate page for Strum and Area Pictures. Links back to PICTURES page. - simplified HOME page, but all that was there is still at PAGE INDEX or PICTURES page. You still see Family/Farm names on the HOME page and more about them is at PAGE INDEX.. - eliminated special ancestral names and links from HOME page but all are at Page Index. - moved detail of Frodahl (Frodal) Connection (Descendancy charts etc.) from PAGE INDEX to own page where all names are linked to more pages. The Frodahl-Frodal-Frodalen relationship is a large expanded relationship in this family WEB site. This is due in large part because each of my grandparents, the primary topic of this WEB site is ultimately of the same family line: Frodalen.
