: New book posting - Skudesness Lutheran Church commemorative book, "Celebrating 100 Years, 1906 - 2006" This on line version of the original book is posted with the permission of Skudesness Lutheran Church, Bawlf, Alberta, Canada. Bawlf is a few kilometers southeast of Camrose. Skudesness is the home church of Johan Olsen Aker, a brother of my great grandmother, Helene Olsdtr, known to us as Hellene Bjørkebakken, the wife of Syver Madsen, grandfather of Roy H. Matson. Many Aker family descendants still reside in the Camrose, Bawlf and surrounding area in Alberta and other parts of Canada. Johan Olsen Aker, son of Ole Hansen & Ragnhild Juulsdatter, came from Norway first to Dalton, Minnesota  in 1883 with his wife, Line Andersdatter and children. The family moved to Canada after 1900.

: My Email address is changed. The change is reflected in the WEB site links. The new contact address for Fred R. Matson and Dianne (Lisko) Matson is dianne@undalumni.or

: Most of the Email Links now link first to an Email page. When you click on "E-Mail Fred Matson", for instance, you will first be taken to a page with my Email address. You click on the Email link there and your computer triggers a new Email addressed to me (or, to whoever the link is for). The reason? When an Email address changes, it is much easier for me to change the Email link and address on one page vs. one-hundred pages! I learned the hard way.

: All of my pages should now have a Title when viewed on your browser. The Title will be at the top of your screen and should be different from the page number you see in your browser address area. If you come across a page which has no title, please Email me at the link above.
May 1, 2006:
The Search Engine nows works as intended. I noticed a new problem while using a computer at a hotel: Some of the Norwegian letters appear as strange combinations of far Eastern symbols and other. I cannot correct this and prefer not to eliminate Norwegian letters where they are appropriate. But please Email me above if you are experiencing this same thing.

6: I added a Genealogies: Records page that lists and links to genealogy records that are on the WEB site. The page link for this page is easily found on the main Genealogies Page. These records are from Gjøvik og Toten Slektshistorielag, Digitalarkivet and other sources. These records are for your use and mine and may be copied provided we do not attempt to make a profit from the use of them. Each record is linked to a genealogy page for the person, the parent or an ancestor.

It can be accessed from the HOME page and the Strum and Area Pictures locations. This scan of the document is provided compliments of Chris Bonnabeau, a descendant of Martin Bjorklund of Strum.
