| Compliments of Atle Rønning, these are Summer 2006 pictures of Martin Garsjøen's tombstone in the Hurdal Church Cemetery, Hurdal, Akershus, Norway. The two people listed above his name are his parents. Martin lived on the Garsjøen Farm and I suspect also did his parents. My father learned that Martin was in the Norwegian underground during WWII. I am honored to have met and shared with such a man in 1968, without knowing much of his past. It is from Martin that I purchased the 1958 Hurdal Bygdebok I still have today.
