Each of the children in the above picture is a grandchild of the couple and is a 1st generation American. Both Johann & Beata Luise were born in kreis Czarnikau, Posen, Prussia, Johann in Putzig and Beata Luise in Putzighauland, not 3 miles from the other. Check this Prussian Map, lower right.
