27 January 2008:
More links added for both Zieske and Lisko ancestry.

27 September 2007:
Added two pages re: a discussion of searching Zieske Family ancestors in Wisconsin, Green Lake and Dodge counties area: Zieske Family Genealogy Search. We are searching for Dianne's mother's ancestors in Wisconsin & Prussia. We have found a family in Wisconsin that migrated to northern Minnesota as our family migrated to southern Minnesota. We are trying to determine a family relationship with the southern Minnesota Zieske, our family. After reviewing census and other records in tracking John Zieske born 1864 in Dodge County, Beaver Dam township, Wisconsin & his wife, Harriet "Hattie" Baker, born in Minnesota and whom John appears to marry in Minnesoa. We have only recently made contact with his descendants. Time will tell if we are related.

2 Dec 2006:
The book, The Church of Saints Peter and Paul: 1898 - 1998, New Hradec, North Dakota, researched and published by the church and members is relevant to the Lisko extended family. Where relevant to the extended family and our Crimean-Bohemian-South Russian research, we will attempt to reference that book.

We purchased a copy of the book in December 2004. It is loaded with community, church and family history, stories and genealogy. The contents notes that at the direction of the Diocese of Bismarck, baptismal information is private and confidential and not included in the book. The New Hradec Church Parish Centennial History Book Committee oversaw the production of the book.

Also, as of this date, all or most of the data on this site acknowledges that Kathryn Stanclova, wife of Anton Fisher born 1816 and father of Isadore fisher born 1852, is now also known as Kathryn Stancl. In our earlier research, we saw her name in both forms.

: Recent new contacts, Dick Zimbrick and Howard McGlothlin, each researching Dickinson, North Dakota based Czech/Bohemian families, have opened a special opportunity to expand and link for the Lisko side of our family.

You will see that I sometimes link t
o http://www.howies-homepage.com/Tree/index.htm or some version of this WEB site. At this location you will find hundreds of Czech/Bohemian surnames and individual genealogies. Check it out. Howard McGlothlin's site also has hundreds of other useful links. When you go to his WEB site you will leave my WEB site. No problem. Just browser back or remember my WEB site, www.norhemian.com, or, bookmark my WEB site. From my HOME page you can get to the Lisko-Zieske section.

I have also included a link to Howard McGlothlin's WEB site on my External Links page reachable from my Matson-Garson HOME page

: The Lisko-Zieske subpart of the Matson-Garson WEB site is being developed in full. Lisko-Zieske family research has been on hold for nearly two years. We are currently reconstructing the LISKO-ZIESKE WEB pages. A number of Anton LISKO family pictures, passenger records, and descendancy charts  have been added. At this point, most postings are on the LISKO side of the family. ZIESKE family postings will follow.
