Among other things, within this book are important clues to early Czech/Bohemian settlements in the Dickinson, North Dakota area and specifically, New Hradec. New Hradec community is about ten miles northwest of Dickinson. The book includes accounts of Church member ancestors leaving Crimea, South Russia,  Czechoslovakia, Bohemian, Moravia and other points and arriving in America and New Hradec. As with all emigrants and immigration, somewhere in this book or in other Dickinson area family and historical accounts are the names of the first person or families who came to this area and was the first to leave their old homeland for this destination. It is these courageous people whom others followed.
