| Following are Facts & Possibilities to Support the Zieske Extended Family Scenario. Michael married Anna Christina Schulz on 15 April 1842 in Putzig. At that time, Michael's father, Johann Zieske is a resident of Ascherbude, about 12 km north of Putzig. Possibility: Michael Zieske of Family 1 lived in Ascherbude sometime before his marriage in 1842 in Putzig. 2. Fact: In Putzig, a Gottlieb Zieske (m. Anna Christina Koplin) born about 1800; Michael Zieski (m. Anna Maria Krenz) born about 1795; and a Christopf Muller (m. Anna Maria Posehn) are sponsors with each other's children. Christoph Mueller sponsors Wilhelm born 27 Mar 1829 and Gottfried born 3 Aug 1818 to Michael Ziske (Zieski) & Anna Maria Krenz; and sponsors also Wilhelm born 14 Feb 1831 to Gottlieb Ziske & Anna Christina Koplin. Michael Zieski sponsors Gottfried born 25 Jul 1826 to Christoph Muller & Anna Maria Posehn. Gottlieb Ziske sponsors Johann Christoph born 23 Aug 1821 to Christoph Muller & Anna Maria Posehn. Possibility: Gottlieb Zieske and Michael Zieski are brothers and Christoph Muller or Anna Maria Posehn are somehow also related maybe even through a step-sibling relationship. 3. Fact: A son of Michael Zieski & Anna Maria Krenz, Johann Zieske born 1820 & his 3rd wife, Beata Luise Breitkreutz born 1839, had a son, John born 1864 in Wisconsin. John born 1864, migrated from Wisconsin to Minnesota and McLeod county. At that time, Wilhelm Zieske & Wilhelmine Burk lived very close by in McLeod county. John Zieske (Zieski) born 1864 married Lucia Harriet "Hattie" Baker of McLeod county. Possibility: Something drew John Zieske born 1864 to McLeod cty, MN. Wilhlem Zieske & Wilhelmine Burk may be aunt and uncle to John Zieske born 1864; or, Possibility: Wilhelm Zieske is a 1st cousin of Johann Zieske born 1820, father of John Zieske born 1864. 4. Fact: Michael Zieski & Anna Maria Krenz (Family 2) and Michael Zieske & Anna Christina Schulz (Family 1) each gave birth to and raised all their children in Putzig, Czarnikau kreis, Posen, Prussia. Family 2 children are of ages such that they are about 1 generation or more older than Family 1 children. Possibility: the children of Family 2 could be aunts and uncles of the children of Family 1. So far, no evidence of this. 5. Fact: Except for Johann Zieske born 1790, all people on this Zieske Extended Family Descendant Chart below the ancestral Zieske Mother & Father, at one time, lived in Putzig, Czarnikau, Posen, Prussia. Johann Zieske born 1790 at one time lived and in 1842, lives in Ascherbude, not more than 12 km from Putzig. His son, Michael Zieske married a Putzig girl, Anna Christina Schulz and there they raised their family and buried two children. 6. Fact: Zieske family spellings in church records include: Zieske, Zieski, Ziske, Cziesk and Cieske. The predominant spelling is Ziske. 7. Fact: Anna Rosina Arnd is the mother of Michael Zieske born 26 Sep 1846 in Ascherbude. This boy's father is Gottlieb Zieske. This boy is Michael Zieske, believed by family to have been born 26 Sep 1847. 8. Fact: The parents of Fredrich Arndt born 1846 are very likely Joh. Gottfried Arndt and Christina Herzberg. Michael Zieske born 26 Sep 1846 in Ascherbude and Fredrich Arndt born 1846 in Putzig, later, at the same time and place in Wisconsin, joined the 38th Wisconsin Volunteers during the U. S. Civil War. They both joined tthe unit at Princeton, Wisconsin. Possibility: these boys are 1st cousins through Michael's mother and Fredrich's father. 9. Fact: Family 1, Family 2 and the Fredrich Arndt family were next door neighbors in southern Minnesota. 10. Fact: Fred G. Arndt, son of Fredrich Arndt & Frederica Schauhardt, married Helena Louise Zieske, daughter of Frederick Gottfried Zieske & Augusta Richter. Frederick Gottfried Zieske is a son of Michael Zieske & Anna Christina Schulz (Family 1). 11. Fact: Wilhelm Zieske son of Gottlieb Zieske born 1800 and Wilhelm Zieske son of Michael Zieski born 1795 are each born close to the 1831 (or so) birth of Wilhelm Zieske who married Wilhelmine Burk. 12. Fact: Michael Zieske of Family 1 is described as uncle to Michael Zieske of Family 3 in a Bloedow family history. This is family knowledge. This relationship is now confirmed.
