| This picture is provided compliments of Mary Lou (Bailey) Banning, a daughter of Ernest Bailey & Mary (Lisko) Bailey. Back Row and Standing: Anna, Mildred, Isadore Vincent "Doc", Philomina, Anthony "Tony", Agnes, Mary. Front Row and Seated: Adolph, Theodore "Ted", Anton (Father), Stephen Edwin, Mary (Mother), George. As with the earlier family portraits, this picture was also likely taken in Dickinson, North Dakota. This would e dated about 1928, maybe 1930. The family is complete here, except for Baby Mary who died of drowning at not yet 3 years old in 1913. The youngest child in this picture, Theodore, was born on July 9, 1926. In this picture, Anton would be about age 47 and Mary age 43 (49 and 45, if the picture is 1930). This could very well be the last complete family picture. Anton died on May 23, 1933. But Mary lived until 1959. The oldest child, I. Vincent "Doc" Lisko, graduated from Marquette University Dental School in June 1931 and began his practice first in Avoca, Wisconsin and then continued his practice and family in Oakes, North Dakota. As we note the full dress suits for both "Doc" and "Tony", it is possible that this picture was taken soon after "Doc"'s graduation. The arrival of this picture raises questions about the dates of the two earlier family portraits we have on this site for 1912 and 1922, and of this picture estimated at 1928. Is it possible that the family had a picture taken every ten years starting with 1910? How about the possibility that these family pictures are the church family pictures, maybe taken every ten years? These portraits were expensive, though important to families. There is an age spread of nearly twenty-one years between the youngest and oldest child in this family of twelve children (eleven living for this picture).
