| Estimating Anton Lisko & Mary Fisher’s Wedding Date
Anton Lisko, the groom (far right, first row, in the picture), Mary Fisher, the bride (center, front row) and Vincent Fisher, (behind the bride and groom). The middle-aged man and young woman on the left are unknown, although one can speculate that the middle-aged man is Tom Michaelenko, Mary Fisher’s stepfather. The young woman could be a friend or relative of Mary Fisher or Anton Lisko. But she appears to have the darker features of the middle-aged man. We know from accounts that Tom Michaelenko was native Russian. It is easy to conclude, likely in error, that the young woman is Mary Michaelenko. But the woman in this picture, taken sometime before December 1905, appears to be too old then to also be age 9 on arrival in America in November 1907. The groom, Anton Lisko, was born on 4 January 1881; The groom was listed as age 26 on arrival in America on 21 December 1905. The bride, Mary Fisher, was born on 17 December 1885; The bride was listed as age 20 on arrival in America on 14 December 1905 And the bride’s brother, Vincent Fisher, was born on 4 April 1883. Tom Michaelenko was age 44 on arrival in America in November 1907. |
