Cora Wingad Research as of 11 November (2nd Report):

I found a lot of WINGAD's at www.familysearch.com who were born
in Nettleham, Lincolnshire, England.  Many of those WINGADS born in
Nettleham were on the 1881 census in England as "heads of household" as follows:
[some of these were probably brother's or cousin's of David & John (Fred) the civil
war vets.  But, I didn't find a Fred or Fredrick in England.]
1. George WINGAD 57 b <1824> occupation: Joiner Out of Business; wife
Elizabeth WINGAD 49 b <1832 > & dau Mary E. age 18 all born in Nettleham, Lincoln, Eng
2. William WINGAD b 1830 with son's born in Spalding, Lincolnshire, Charles W. and Robert.
3. Hezekiah WINGAD b 1831 with son's John William and George Henry.
4. Roberd(t) WINGAD 50 b < 1831 >Nettleham, Lincoln, Eng; Contractor (Undef) & wife Ann 54
5. Charles WINGAD b 1837 age 44 unmarried; living with him: nephew John W. age 17 born in Spalding
and housekeeper, a widow Mary G. WINGAD b 1838 in Bassingham.
6. Samuel WINGAD 36 b <1845> Hair Dresser; ch: Edith, Frank & Berth

So Here is my theory of the Trempealeau co, Wis, WINGAD family tree:

Father: Albert(?) WINGAD born est 1800 of Nettleham, Lincolnshire, Eng children:
1. David b 1822 Lincs, Eng - d 1906 Wis m 1855 Iowa co, Wis Margaret L. GREEN b 1838 OH; ch:
    1. Robert b 1858 d 1915
    2 Henrietta b 1861 m est 1879 Mr. Jones
3 David b 1866 [he must have moved away].
    4 Cora b 22 Jun 1868 d 16 Jul 1939 Scott, Davenport, IA m 1 Zopher WARD -2nd Tom Morton
    5 Frank b 1872 d 1938 m est 1893 Margaret WARNER.
(Fred Matson Note: We believe Frank & Margaret had David (married Zelda Brixen), Frances, Henrietta, Florence). Margaret was born 1875, died 1955.

2. John b 29 Feb 1829 d 8 Nov 1912 married possibly Miss "F" unknown: children:
Possible is Mrs Emma Rosman (Hunt).
    1. Albert b 1866 d 1938 m est 1890 Catherine WARNER
(Children: John 1905-1909; Hezikiah 1869-1908).
    2. Hezekiah J. b 10 Oct 1869 d 19 Dec 1908
    3. Ida A. b 1870 d 13 Jan 1882 at age 12 (dau of J & F).

Do you think I am close?  I know you've spent a lot of time to help me.
Thanks again!
Gratefully,
Mary Kay Ward
