| Both pictures are the same. The second from the top shows the picture as it appared in an article in the Tri-County News sometime after 1979. The Strum baseball players are all well known to many. Strum has a long history of baseball. Notice the Beef River "Brick" Church in the background. This picture was taken on Elm Street just east of Main Street, Strum. These pictures provided compliments of Dan Bergerson who earlier received them from Ardyth "Ardy" [Thompson] Robertson, both former residents of Strum. Their fathers are in this picture: Odell Bergerson and Orville Thompson. My (Fred Matson) father, Roy Matson is also in this picture and my father's brother, Norval Matson, also.
