Strum "Brion Field" airport, the home of the Viking Flying Club. Located just east of Strum, Wisconsin along the Beef River, you are looking southwest. The airport is the open area near the bottom of this picture. Note the airplane hangers. Just below that in the clumps of trees runs the Beef River and below that runs U. S. Highway 10. Osseo is east of here and Eleva is west.

Although some of the homes in this picture are in the village, most of the Village of Strum is to the right and upper right of this picture. The long narrow clearing that runs from the lower left to the upper right and through the trees is, I believe, the site of the old railroad, now a recreational trail. In the clearing and upper left of this picture is Koxlien Saw Mill and just below that and running along the trees east and west is Prairie Road, the back road, and at one time likely the main road to Osseo.
