This account is by Greg Gullicksrud: The wall mounted cross and the baptismal font in this church date back to the 13th century. Many of Strum's ancestors were baptized in that font that is still used in our day. The present church was built so that the altar area uses walls that were part of an old log structure that containsa crude paintings of the saints. We are talking about a church that came into being before the Reformation.
