Notes for ANTON ANDERSEN: Per Jens Bjørseth of LENA, Østre Toten, Norway in January 2006: They also lived in Høverroa, mostly at a place that in the records is called Høvern, Høverneie, Støeneie, Høvernstøen etc, but we know that he lived most of his life in a husmannsplass under Høvernstøen called Bakklykkja. A woman, Aslaug Skramstad, who worked in this area wrote a diary in the 1920’s and from that book we know that Anton was very fond of flowers, and that he had roses at his place. I have been to Bakklykkja several times, and in 2001 we found a small rose there, about 80 years after he died. She has also made a drawing of him. I have heard about Anton several times, but (until now) I have not been unable to make the correct connection to our family. I like him, and I think it is funny to have him in our family. Together with one of my classes (Jens is a teacher), and the owner of Høvernstøen farm, we have visited Bakklykkja several times, and made it possible for others to find the place. It lies in the forest and it is about 1.5 kilometers from the road. We have made marks and put them on trees so others can find the way. The owner of Høvernstøen today is Håkon Frodal. His fathers brother was married to Augusta. But as far as I know today, we are not related. It’s a shame, he is a nice guy with a very pleasant family, I have had both of his sons at school. Jens Bjørseth of Norway is the primary contributor of this material.
